ATC

Just scanned most of my ATC's for posting. I'm suppose to make 100 for the 26th of this month, but I only have 28 that are for trade so far. That means I need to get busy this weekend >.<.

I go to the ATC meetings at Barnes and Noble on Bellflower Blv. to make and trade them. I usually only make one of a kinds though so I will be posting them on here for people who want to see them.

I try make them out of 'found' and or free materials. Mostly because I have no job and I'm a full time student. (I have no money) But also because I think the joy of an ATC is finding a place for all those little things I find and end up loving. So it's a sort of excuse to have useless amusing items.

This is one of my few atc's that is interactive. The egg opens up revealing an eye with a hidden message. I love to use that mesh wire, there are several materials I like to repeat that are similar to it. I often use the mesh off of food products, like the bag around a sack of potatoes for example. Most people see them every day but never really think about what they look like. The sack just gets thrown away, so I reuse them. The top two of these are probably my favorites. They are such vibrant pictures and both cards seem to convey a story. The third is one of my simplest atc's. Sort of a message on the simpleness of nature.

Here we have Nosferatu, a femnist, a strange floral piece, a lemon (made for trading) my first atc- which is meant to be for Edgar Allen Poe, and my happy Cherries. I have a lot of those plastic circular things, I'm trying to find something to use them all on.

  1. These are gorgeous!!! I've been wanting to trade ATCs just because I love having other artists' work around my studio. I'm not very good at making them though. LOL

The egg one is first interactive one I've seen and I *love* it!
